The FS 6600 D is a powerful and highly efficient saw. Its power-to-size ratio makes it an extremely versatile and super-productive saw in all cutting applications.
John Deere 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine is rated at 66 hp, has a cold start feature for use in cold weather conditions and meets current EPA requirements.
Right angle gearbox configuration and 16 V-belts transmit more power to the bladeshaft than similar models in its class, delivering 60 hp at the bladeshaft.
The patented IntelliSeal™ bladeshaft system allows for a minimum 500-hour service interval and eliminates daily greasing of bearings.
Patent-pending electric tracking system option allows the operator to make tracking adjustments while cutting.
Balanced dual motor hydrostatic drive system eliminates surging and lag while cutting.
Patent-pending multi-positional handlebars easily adjust to operator’s preference which increases operator comfort and reduces fatigue.
New, lightweight design slip-on blade guards come with an auto latch for easy removal and installation. An improved handle makes transportation easier.
New cowling will be standard second quarter 2007.
A wide, tapered mounting spade contributes to blade guard stability.
The blade clutch allows engine operation and saw movements without blade rotation, which can assist in freeing blades.
Three-speed gearbox models will be available in second quarter 2007.
