The Husqvarna FS 6500 combines the traditional 65 hp gasoline engine with the excellent maneuverability of the narrow frame design. The power-to-weight ratio makes the FS 6500 the ideal saw for utility work. • 65 hp Wisconsin V465 gas engine delivers 42 hp at the bladeshaft. • The patented IntelliSeal™ bladeshaft system allows for a minimum 500-hour service interval and eliminates daily greasing of bearings. • Blade guard is a single, vertical slip-on tab for easy removal and allows right or left side mounting for multiple cutting applications. • Vertically mounted water tubes with single large opening provides superior blade cooling. • Sealed ball bearing, maintenance-free polyurethane front wheels and quick disconnect rear wheels are for easy maintenance. • Eaton model 10 hydrostatic drive with chain and gear reduction drive system provides infinite speeds from 0 to 200 fpm. • Positive depth stop prevents blade from being lowered past pre-set depth. • Cutting depth indicator clearly shows depth of blade in the cut and is adjustable for all blade diameters. • Voltmeter and oil pressure gauges are for monitoring engine systems. • Switch controlled water safety device shuts engine off when water pressure drops to protect the blade. • Lowering valve adjusts feed rate when lowering blade in cut. • Single lever for forward/reverse, raise/lower offers reliable and infinite variable ground speed control and allows the blade to be quickly raised and lowered. • Separate neutral engage lever is mounted on the cowl and allows for quick disengage of transmission for ease in transport.
