The FS 4800 D is a professional and very versatile flat saw for large and mid-size jobs. It is available in front pivot and rear pivot configurations. A rear pivot saw is recommended when maneuverability is key in road repair and service work. The front pivot version is preferable for normal road sawing operations.
• Yanmar 48 hp 4-cylinder liquid-cooled, diesel engine
meets current EPA requirements.
• Patented power transmission system has a right angle
gearbox configuration with 12 V-belts. This transmits
more power to the bladeshaft than similar models in its
class, delivering 42 hp at the bladeshaft.
• The patented IntelliSeal™ bladeshaft system allows for a
minimum 500-hour service interval, eliminating daily
greasing of bearings. Quick disconnect blade flange is
standard.
• Patent-pending multi-positional handlebars easily adjust
to individual operator’s preference which increases
operator comfort and reduces fatigue.
• Slip-on blade guard comes with auto-latch for easy removal and installation.
• Balanced dual motor hydrostatic drive system eliminates
surging and lag while cutting - with no belts, chains or
gears; requires no adjustment.
• Front pivot model has a patent-pending electric tracking
system option, which allows the operator to make
tracking adjustments with a switch while cutting.
• Blade clutch option assists in freeing blades stuck in the
cut and allows engine operation without blade rotation.
• Rear pivot model offers an electrically controlled
hydraulic differential system that locks rear wheels for
positive traction to prevent slipping.
