Dri Bit Self-Centering Kits make it easy to start a hole with a handheld core drill.
The carbide-tipped centering bit helps stabilize the core bit until it penetrates the surface
being drilled. After the core bit is sufficiently started, the starter bit is easily and quickly
removed by loosening the set screw in the adapter. There are many uses for these kits,
particularly for horizontal and corner drilling, and they are available in a wide range of sizes
to fit bits 1-1/2" to 6".
