Built to be the most accurate tile saw ever, the 2550 cuts an 18" x 18" diagonally or 24" rip cut with extreme precision. To complement the saw, the Router Attachment offers the ability to edge stone and porcelain tiles up to 24" in length & 1.5" thick with router bits such as: demi bull, full bull, ogee, 45 degree bevel, or even custom bits, giving you the opportunity to expand your work base. Features
- Blade Guard Water Feed System: A unique design directs water through a stainless steel hose, into the nose of the blade guard and feeds it through two independently adjustable Loc-Line water feeds. This directs water right to the cutting contact point keeping your blade operating cooler to increase blade life and minimize water spray.
- Motor Head Assembly: The Motor head assembly is detachable from the frame for ease in transport. It features stainless steel components such as the support pin, adjustable support bar, blade shaft and the highest quality bearings.
- Blade Plumb Alignment: Swivel the patented two piece motor base to align the blade to perfect plumb position.
- Blade Square Alignment: Simple patented adjustments in the arm swings blade side to side to align front and back of the blade to precise square, resulting in unmatched precision within +/-.001".
- Router Attachment: The router attachment uses a 3.25hp, variable speed, Porter Cable router with diamond router bits such as demi bull, full bull, ogee, bevel or custom bits. For high production work, the single edge bits like the demi bull are mounted upside down in the router and the polished surface of the stone is placed upside down on the tile cart to eliminate the variations in stone thickness. The router attachment edges stone and porcelain tile up to 24" in length and 1.5" thick. It has an adjustable router plate with a unique 3-point leveling system and an independent waterfeed.
- Tile Cart: Extra long 20" x 19" machined flat surface is covered with durable rubber and has a unique undercarriage locking mechanism to secure the cart to the rails for a strong and stable cutting surface for large tile support. It has two independently attached backstops that adjust to a perfect square and the stainless steel measuring rulers adjust for an accurate cut.
- Tile Cart (underside): There are four durable V-groove Delrin wheels with quality bearings. The quick-release locking bar with two Delrin wheels locks cart to rails for a sturdy base and can be removed for ease in transport.
- Water Pan: Extra wide 35" x 40" powder coated aluminum pan captures excess water runoff from the tile surface. It slides independently through the frame into position under the tile or the router attachment.
- Frame and Rails: Frame is custom welded 1.5" x 1/8" thick wall tubular aluminum. Frame is lightweight and extrememly durable. Rails are v-shaped, precision ground, 1" square solid steel. Rails attach to the frame with plenty of adjustment to ensure a precise cut.
