Ardex SKM Skimcoat Patch and Finishing Underlayment - From Patch to Perfect in 30 Minutes
Ardex SKM is a premium, trowel-applied patch and skim coat designed to smooth and finish interior substrates quickly and easily. With its creamy, non-sanded formula, provides a true featheredge finish and can be applied up to 1/2" (12 mm) thick.
Suitable for use over interior concrete, wood, moisture-insensitive tile and stone, and non-water-soluble adhesive residues on concrete, delivers fast turnaround times. Walk on and install most floor coverings in as little as 30 minutes, making it the go-to choice for quick repairs, skim coats, and finishing work.

Installation:
Mixing Ratio: 1.5 quarts (1.4 L) of water per 10 lb. (4.5 kg) bag
(For smaller batches, use 3 parts powder to 1 part water by volume)
Approximate Coverage:
- 150 – 200 sq. ft. (14 – 18.5 sq. m) per bag at a skim coat
- Coverage will vary depending on the texture of the surface being smoothed.
Performance:
- Walkable: 30 minutes
- Install Flooring: For most floor coverings:
- Approx. 30 minutes when installed at a skim coat
- Approx. 1 – 2 hours when installed at thicknesses greater than 1/16"
