Roberts 3087 Carpet Adhesive — Glue It Right the First Time
The Roberts 3087 Carpet Adhesive is a professional-grade SBR latex adhesive developed for direct and double glue-down installation of commercial and residential carpet. Its high-performance formulation provides strong initial tack and long-lasting bonding strength for dependable flooring installations.
This versatile adhesive is also suitable for installing felt-backed sheet vinyl flooring and acoustical cork underlayment, making it a practical solution for multiple flooring applications. The solvent-free latex formula bonds securely to a wide range of subfloor materials including concrete, APA-rated plywood, terrazzo, properly prepared vinyl composition tile (VCT), radiant-heated subfloors, and properly prepared sheet vinyl flooring (excluding self-stick products).
Roberts 3087 offers extended installation flexibility with up to 45 minutes of open time and up to 70 minutes of working time, allowing installers to accurately position materials before the adhesive sets. Once installed, the adhesive cures fully within approximately 24 hours.
Enhanced with Microban antimicrobial technology, the adhesive helps protect against the growth of bacteria that can cause odors, stains, and product degradation over time. With a low VOC content of less than 1 g/L and LEED-compliant formulation, Roberts 3087 is an environmentally friendly option for professional flooring installations.
