Schluter KERDI-SHOWER-FRS Floor Recessing System provides a practical solution for constructing modern curbless showers without compromising the structural integrity of the existing floor system.

The system uses galvanized steel J Brackets that fasten to the top of the joists and P Brackets that attach to the unmodified subfloor perimeter. Together, they support the recessed subfloor panels and create a stable foundation for the shower assembly.

Because the brackets are installed from the top, there is no need to cut or modify joists or install ledger boards. This installation approach also helps minimize conflicts with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical components located inside floor cavities.

KERDI-SHOWER-FRS lowers the subfloor by 11/16" (17.5 mm) and is compatible with dimensional lumber and I-joists spaced up to 19.2" on center. Shims are included to accommodate 5/8" subflooring and provide a secure interface with the P Brackets.

Designed to integrate with the Schluter Shower System, KERDI-DRAIN point drains, and compatible KERDI-SHOWER prefabricated trays, the KERDI-SHOWER-FRS provides a dependable foundation for fully waterproof, accessible curbless shower installations.
