Triton Decoupling Mat: Waterproof Tile and Stone Crack Isolation Membrane

Triton Decoupling Mat is a high-performance three-layer waterproof decoupling membrane engineered to protect tile and stone installations from substrate movement, moisture, and cracking.

Its innovative construction combines a Mortar Lock Mesh surface, a reinforced dimpled waterproof mat, and a single-layer woven fleece backing. Together, these layers create a durable system that improves mortar adhesion, manages moisture, and absorbs stresses caused by foot traffic, foundation settling, and minor substrate imperfections.

The Mortar Lock Mesh makes thin-set application fast and efficient while providing an excellent mechanical bond to the tile assembly. The dimpled geometry adds structural strength and enhances adhesion, while the advanced fleece weave provides shear resistance and crack isolation without delamination.

Triton Decoupling Mat can be installed over most properly prepared substrates to create a smooth, level surface for tile and stone. It may also be incorporated into the Triton Watertight System when all seams are properly sealed with waterproof tape.

Certified to ASTM C627 as Heavy over OSB with 24" joist spacing and Extra Heavy over OSB with 19.2" joist spacing, Triton Decoupling Mat is engineered for demanding residential and commercial applications.
