Wedi Self-Adhesive Joint Reinforcement Tape is a specialized glass fiber reinforced fabric designed for reinforcing and bridging joints between wedi building boards. Its alkali-resistant construction provides dependable reinforcement when covered with mortar during the finishing process.
The self-adhesive backing makes the tape quick and easy to install. It is applied centrally over the joint area or across the surface with a 50 mm overlap between adjoining sections, helping create continuous reinforcement across building board connections.
The tape is suitable for corner, connection, and butt joints when using wedi building boards for indoor applications. It can also be used with wedi Construct slotted or grooved building boards to reinforce curved, semicircular, and rounded shapes.
After installation, mortar is applied over the reinforcement tape before the surface is tiled or plastered. Available in 125 mm and 600 mm widths, it provides a practical solution for reinforcing wedi board assemblies during preparation for finished surfaces.
