Glaze 'N Seal 773 Clear Slate Sealer is engineered to protect and beautify dense stone and masonry surfaces while preserving their natural character. Its clear, water-based acrylic formulation delivers reliable water repellency and stain resistance without darkening or yellowing the surface.

Designed for slate, flagstone, and quarry tile, this low-gloss, film-forming sealer repels oil, grease, and organic stains while remaining UV stable for long-lasting interior and exterior performance. The breathable formulation helps reduce efflorescence and simplifies ongoing maintenance.

Easy to apply and maintain, Glaze 'N Seal 773 may also be used as a grout release and serves as an excellent base for interior floor finishes such as Glaze 'N Seal Floor Polish to extend sealer life and enhance protection.

Application and Preparation

Surface Preparation

Ensure surfaces are clean and free of efflorescence, dirt, oil, wax, grease, and defective coatings. If muriatic acid is used, remove all residue and neutralize with Glaze ’N Seal Neutralizing Rinse before sealing.

Application

Apply two or more thin coats without puddling. Allow each coat to dry to the touch before applying the next (typically 1–2 hours). Apply between 55°F and 80°F. Allow 72 hours curing time before exposure to heavy moisture.
