Roberts 2057 VCT-EZ Adhesive — Vinyl Composition Tile Flooring Adhesive
The Roberts 2057 VCT-EZ Vinyl Composition Tile Adhesive is a high-performance SBR latex adhesive designed for professional installation of vinyl composition tile flooring. Engineered to provide strong initial tack and long-lasting bonding strength, this adhesive helps hold tiles firmly in place even when floors are exposed to frequent cleaning and mopping.
Its solvent-free latex formula allows the adhesive to be applied easily using a brush, roller, or trowel. When spread thinly according to installation instructions, the adhesive dries clear, ensuring that chalk layout lines remain visible for accurate tile placement.
The adhesive bonds effectively to a variety of subfloor materials including concrete, APA-rated plywood, primed gypsum-based subfloors (per ASTM F2419), terrazzo, and existing VCT flooring that is clean and free of waxes, sealers, and finishes. It is also suitable for tile-over-tile installations.
Enhanced with Microban antimicrobial technology, the adhesive helps resist the growth of bacteria that can cause stains, odors, and product degradation over time. This added protection helps maintain adhesive performance in demanding environments.
Roberts 2057 VCT-EZ offers approximately 60 minutes of open time, up to 8 hours of working time, and a full cure time of about 24 hours. With coverage up to 240 square feet per gallon depending on trowel type and substrate conditions, it is suitable for residential and moderate commercial interior installations.
This adhesive is not recommended for use with luxury vinyl tile (LVT), luxury vinyl plank (LVP), or solid vinyl-backed flooring products.
